Chikeru finds niche in aluminium pots

20 Jan 2016

Mr Chengelani Chikeru (32) has a dream of being one of the best business operators in the country.

The owner of Biza Pots, which is based at Molapo in Francistown, is thrilled that his dreams have come true as he has long wanted to own a manufacturing company that moulds aluminum pots.

Mr Chikeru, who hails from Mapoka in the North East District, said in an interview that he was thrilled to have achieved his dream.

He used to order moulded pots from Zimbabwe and this inspired him to start his own pots manufacturing business.

The enterprising young man has been in operation for six months and is doing fine.

Some of the challenges he faced were of transportation as he used a small Toyota Corolla that could not accommodate all of his pots to his market place.

Another challenge he faced was shortage of material as he used aluminum to manufacture his pots and the material was too  expensive.

Mr Chikeru pride himself in having hired four employees whom he trained by himself.

Furthermore, he said his dream was to sell pots country wide and even outside the country adding that he wanted his pots to be sold in the mega supermarkets. Ends
