Rollers prove ruthless

Township Rollers continued their mean mood when they crashed Nico United 5-0 in a beMobile Premiership encounter played in Francistown on Friday (December 18) night.
The game started on a high note with Rollers posing threat to their opponents and they showed their intention in the first minute when they piled pressure n search of their first goal. In the 9th minute, they were awarded a penalty and Jerome ‘JJ’ Ramatlhakwane missed
Nico struggled to gain composure and they failed to complete even a single pass. The hosts struggled to contain the Rollers’ Sekhana ‘Nandos’ Koko, Ramatlhakwane, Joel Mogorosi and Edwin Moalosi.
In the 16th minute, Koko found the back of the net after a well laid pass from Ramatlhakwane and the goal boosted Rollers as they began to enjoy more ball possession. Ramatlhakwane, who was a marvel to watch, delivered another good pass in the box, which Maano Ditshupo scored.Towards the end of the half time, Nico nearly scored when Christopher Musonda missed a clear cut chance.
Immediately after recess, Rollers scored through Ramatlhakwane.
Nico coach, Wesley Mondo, introduced the duo of Spencer Ngalande and Richard Legwaila to add on his attack but to no avail. Majombolo started to pull up their socks and pressed hard in search of a goal but were unlucky to find the back of the net as they missed clear cut chances, which they could have scored easily.
Rollers assistant coach, Teenage Mpote pulled out Moalosi and brought in Gofaone Tiro while Motsholetsi Sikele came in to replace Mogorosi in the 82th minute. In the 87th minute, Koko scored his brace to make it 4-0 while Sikele scored in the 90th minute after a mistake from Nico’s goalkeeper, Kagiso Rankabekwa to make it 5-0. Ends
