Police register 29 accidents in Letlhakeng-Kaudwane road

10 Dec 2015

Botswana Police Service has recorded 29 road traffic accidents between 2010 and 2014 in the Letlhakeng-Kaudwane road, says  Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Tshenelo Mabeo.

Responding to a question in Parliament, Mr Mabeo said out of these, three lives were lost,  49 casualties, 33 minor injuries and 16 serious injuries. He thus noted that  MTC would consider tarring the road in the next National Development Plan 11 (NDP 11).

Member of Parliament for Takatokwane had asked the minister to state the number of accidents that occurred in the Letlhakeng/Kaudwane road in the past five years, lives lost in these accidents during the period and those severely injured. He had also wanted to know whether the ministry had any plans to tar this road. Ends
