Botswana Games off to good start

The ongoing 4th Botswana Games got off to a scintillating start on Sunday in football with draws, which commenced with the Southern Region girls finishing to a nil all draw with Gaborone.
Kgalagadi and Central regions as well as Kweneng and Francistown also shared a nil all draw in the following games.
South East region girls reduced Selebi Phikwe girls to minnows with a 3-2 win while in football for boys, Kweneng beat North East 2-0, while Lobatse drew one all with Lobatse; Selibe Phikwe also drew with the same margin.
The Netball teams started with Francistown against Kweneng and Francistown trounced Kweneng 36-14.
Gaborone beat Selebi Phikwe 43-17, North West clawed Sowa 31-28 while Kgatleng had a rough day losing by an impressive 62-10.
Basketball girls saw Gaborone losing to Central by 32-28, Selebi Phikwe beat Southern 66-51, whilst Gantsi stumped over North East beating those 62-38 while Kweneng beat Francistown 39-16.
South East beat Francistown 68-62 in the Basketball Boys, Lobatse triumphed over Central with 44-35, Jwaneng were unstoppable beating Kgatleng 74 -39 while North West beat Gantsi 52 -36.
Volleyball Boys saw Central beating North East 3-1, Lobatse was beat by Sowa 3-1 while Francistown beat Kgatleng 3-1 while Kgalagadi lost to North West by 3-1.
In the Volleyball girls, it was an interesting with all teams winning by three nil. Kweneng won 3-0 against Southern, Chobe beat F/town 3-0, Central rolled over South East 3-2 and North West won 3-1.
Softball also got underway at Rutwang CJSS in Tonota with Softball girls seeing Southern beat Central 8-1, Kweneng won 14-3 against Sowa, Kgatleng saw black by being beaten by F/town 7-5, whilst Jwaneng got a hammering of 9-0 by North West.
Softball boys started by pitting North East against Selibe Phikwe and Phikwe lost 9-3, Jwaneng beat South East 7-3, F/town won 7-6 against Jwaneng and North West beat Central 5-1 and North East beat South East 8-4 and Southern gave Kgatleng hard time trouncing them 11-0.
In Tennis’ Single Boys saw Jwaneng easily winning 6-0/6-1, Gaborone beat North East 6-1/6-0. Chobe walked over Kgalagadi by 6-3/6-4 and Selibe Phikwe beat South East 6-2/6-2 and Gaborone beat North West 6-3/6-3.
Double Boys Tennis saw Selibe Phikwe beating Lobatse 6/1, 6/1 and North East beat South East 6-4/4-6/11-9.
F/town knocked Chobe 6-1, 6-2, Jwaneng won against Kgalagadi by 6-1, 6-1 and Kweneng beat Gantsi 4-6, 6- 4, 10-7, whilst Central ruled over Kgatleng with 6-0, 6-0 margin. Ends
