YDF turns dreams into reality

Mr Kabo Motshelamadi, who hails from Phitshane, is making ends meet through graphic design skills and printing abilities.
Mr Motshelamadi said his passion for graphic design and printing started in 2008 when Mr Jack Lievens from Belgium, who was running a graphic design company in Lobatse, recruited and introduced him to the industry.
“I worked with Mr Lievens for about three years until he decided to go back home and left me with one of his computers and a printer as an appreciation of our working together.”
He said working with Mr Lievens gave him knowledge, wisdom and ideas to start his own graphic design and printing company.
Due to lack of funds he could not establish the business at the time, however, as he could not let his dream to slumber, he decided to visit Youth Development Fund (YDF) offices to seek help and they responded in the affirmative in 2014.
Mr Motshelamadi is now operating his own company, Loungo Creations, courtesy of YDF, which opened doors to the public this year in Phitshane.
His product line ranges from designing and printing vehicle number plates, wall paintings, CD and DVD sleeves as well as wedding and birthday invitation cards, among others.
He said although clients appreciate his artistic work, sales are not as good as he expects, but nonetheless he puts food on the table for his family.
He has managed to penetrate the market in Lobatse, Papatlo and Tlhareseleele.
Apart from being a leading advertising company and operating branches nationwide, Mr Motshelamadi said he envisages owning a complex, adding that the secret behind the success would be patience, passion and hard work. Ends
