Mphuthe hostels in plan

The Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Moisiraele Goya says th e hostels at new Mphuthe Junior Secondary School would be done as a project through the Economic Stimulus Programme.
Answering a question in Parliament on Wednesday, he said boarding students at old Mphuthe are under the Rural Area Development Programme cared for by Letlhakeng Sub-district Council’s Social and Community Development office.
He said the school has a matron and a boarding master who were both under the employ of the district council, adding that the officers provide guidance and care for the boarders on a day to day basis.
“The boarders currently walk a distance to the new school and are advised to walk in groups for safety,” he said
MP Ngaka Ngaka had asked the minister to state when the hostels for the new Mphuthe Junior Secondary School will be built, and who takes care of boarding students when they move from the old Mphuthe building to the new Mphuthe building. Ends
