Ghanzi landfill expansion not in plan

There are currently no plans to expand the landfill in Ghanzi Township though a proposal for expansion has been made in the DDP 8/NDP 11. Responding to a question from MP for Ghanzi North, Mr Noah Salakae, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Ms Botlogile Tshireletso said the proposal will be considered together with other competing projects across the country.
The total estimated cost for the expansion is P10 million and “this estimate may change after design,” she said. The MP had wanted to know whether there were any plans to expand the landfill in Ghanzi Township and further asked when and how much the budget was. Ends
