Post fails to attract candidates
26 Nov 2015
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development says his ministry has challenges in filling the post of deputy court president in Ghanzi Township because of difficulty in attracting candidates with the required qualifications.
Answering a question in Parliament, Mr Frans Van Der Westhuizen said the only candidate who responded to the advertisement and meeting the requirements, withdrew when he was to be interviewed.
The ministry has therefore decided to re-advertise the post and the plan is to have it filled by the end of this year. Member of Parliament for Ghanzi North Mr Noah Salakae had asked the minister whether there are any plans to fill the post of deputy court president at Ghanzi township if so when and what has caused the delay to fill the post.
