BIE does not deny students registration

Assistant Minister of Agriculture says his ministry is not aware that graduates from Botswana College of Agriculture (BCA) who pursued engineering courses mainly Bachelor of Science in soil and water conservation engineering as well as Bachelor of Science in agricultural mechanisation were denied registration with Botswana Institute of Engineers (BIE).
Mr Kgotla Autlwetse said BIE has registered all graduates of the two degree programmes from BCA and explained that BIE was not aware of any graduates denied registration with them.
The Member of Parliament for Gaborone North, Mr Haskins Nkaigwa had asked the assistant minister if he was aware that graduates from BCA who pursued engineering courses were denied registration with BIE. He also wanted to know what was being done to assist such graduates to receive recognition. ENDS
