Kanye Swallows Girls coach, Kgomotso Teofelo, has appealed to the business community to lend his team financial support.

Teofelo said in an interview after his team suffered a 2-0 defeat in the hands of log leaders, Meat Girls, during a Women Premier League match in Kanye. He said they were struggling to keep the team together as a result of lack of financial support from the community.

Teofelo explained that support would motivate the players to perform above mediocrity. He said his charges needed transport and equipment such as boots, balls among others to perform.

Teofelo also explained that they had a challenge hosting the team for training camps ahead of games. The coach argued that support would enable the team to mould the girls into self-respecting and responsible future stars.

He has nonetheless, thanked businessman Abdul Dada for the support he rendered the team thus far.

Meanwhile Swallows lacked creativity in midpark and fire power in their search for goal. Teofelo attributed the problem to lack of training camps ahead of the crucial match. The team sits on position nine with four points.

Meat Girls coach Mmoloki Simane was on the other hand happy to pocket maximum points despite a patchy play. 

He said the win would motivate his team ahead of an epic clash with Township Rollers in a week’s time. Simane also urged the local business community to support Women football to enable girls to live off talent. 

The two goals were scored by Refilwe Matlho and Refilwe Tholakelo in the second half. Ends
