With only a few days left before local girls compete for the Miss Botswana title, the P750 tickets for the VIP seats have been sold out.
Speaking in an interview, one of the organisers, Sweet Baint managing director, David Abram, confirmed that all the 300 VIP seats at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC), had been sold out while the P400 seat tickets were still available for sale in Gaborone malls.
Abram also revealed that South African group Jozi, as well as Motswako artist Mo Molemi, are the main acts for the Miss Botswana grand finale.
The local line-up includes K-boss, T.H.A.B.O., Lucy and Lezibo.
Apart from the Peugeot RTZ prize for the queen, Abram disclosed that the first and second princesses would walk away with P30 000 and P20 000 worth of hampers respectively.
He also highlighted that there would be a talent show on April 25, two days before the main contest.
This, he said contributed 20 per cent towards the overall contest performance grading.
Abram further said after crowning, the queen would build a house for the needy, sponsors for which have already been sought.
The project, he noted, included furniture, water and electricity connection. ENDS
