Bootcamp Botswana launches Saturday

21 Oct 2015

Superfit Gym at Molapo Crossing in Gaborone will be a beehive of activity during the launch of Bootcamp Botswana on October 24. Bootcamp Botswana is a new company that encourages an active lifestyle through various forms of training in an entertaining manner that participants can adopt for themselves.

The company is almost like a fitness training institution where participants learn training techniques that they can enjoy with their friends, families and children.

Bootcamp Botswana director, James Tamora who is with the Training Wing of the Botswana Defence Force at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks said he offered training under a friendly atmosphere, a situation that  enabled participants to be looking forward to attending sessions on regular basis.

Those who engage with Bootcamp Botswana become friends and establish social links that they could use to add value and substance to their lifestyles.

He said the idea of making regular 10 week training sessions motivated him to come up with the idea of forming Bootcamp Botswana.

“I think it is high time Batswana take training as part of their lives as many life style diseases can be prevented with training for everybody to be fit by 2016,” said James.

He said proceeds of the launch would go to the Y-Care Chairperson’s Charitable Trust which was geared towards raising awareness about diabetes disease.

Tamora said he felt compelled to direct the proceeds of the event to Y¬-Care Chairperson’s Charitable Trust as he felt Modise Keofitlhile did not raise enough funds in his Francistown to Gaborone run earlier in the year.

He said the launch will be an exciting event as there will be five a side soccer tournament, Zumba dance exercise, body building parade where body builders will flex their muscles for the joy of those who would turn up.

Tamora said they will also be having Soweto Bootcampers and other gym instructors from Rustenburg, Mafikeng and Johanneburg and that Boitumelo Pule Kitchin of Bongaka Health care will be the guest of honour.

Some of the event sponsors are Beauty and Slimming Spar, Incepta Communications, Itse Mageba, Superfit Gym, Soweto Boot Camp, Molapo Piazza, Sunbeam Hotel, Waverton Media, Summer Bodies, Food Safe International and Mmasechaba Aerobics Club. Ends
