Mine supports green environment

Debswana’s Jwaneng Mine has donated P40 000 to Sese Primary School towards greening of the school field.
Speaking at the project hand over recently, the mine representative Mr Bond Keaketswe said the donation was a reflection of the mine’s commitment to sustainable development through partnering with stakeholders to develop local communities.
Mr Keaketswe said the company, in their effort to encourage and promote a green environment, saw it necessary to give to Sese primary and also be instrumental in reducing the effects of climate change.
For his part, chief education officer, Mr David Rabana applauded the mine for their continuous support of the ministry’s Adopt -a -School initiative.
Jwaneng Mine donated the P40 000, AEL Blasting Company which is under the mine, electrified the school and Majwe Mining Joint Venture made a donation of gardening tools worth P8 600. ENDS
