Rollers maintain top spot

Township Rollers continued their unbeaten run by defeating Miscellaneous 2-nil over the weeked. Edwin Moalosi opened the scoring sheet on 25th minute of the second half, slotting into the far corner and giving Miscellaneous goal stopper, Bophelo Kealeboga no chance.
On the run of play, Carl Finnigan finished a thorough cross from Gofaone Tiro to put the game beyond tenacious Miscellaneous.
The spectacular experienced a bad head collision between Otlantshelela Mooketsi and Maano Ditshupo while defending a critical ball into the box.
Mooketsi was substituted straight away while Ditshupo’s head was bandaged. The victory guaranteed that Mapalastina in the Be Mobile Premiership driving seat, while Miscellaneous’ first loss at home ground brought their total loses to three.
Rollers coach, Mark Harrison who excluded players that travelled with the Zebras squad recently hailed the performance of his players especially because they kept a clean sheet.
“Their fantastic performance makes my life difficult to select a team” Harrison said.
However, he said the Serowe side gave them a hard time adding that “to be honest coming to this game was scary”.
Despite the loss Miscellaneous gaffer, Russia Chaba said they did their home work but were punished because of their blunders especially the goal keeper one that led to the first goal.
This goal, he said, put a lot of pressure on them and brought back Township Rollers into the game. Ends
