He said the country needs all Batswana to come forward to help to guide the youth by providing them with quality, relevant education and information, adding that by that this could help young people make informed decisions about their future.
When outlining the objectives of the day, representative of the organizing committee of Class of ‘97 Ms Kehilwe Ramhakana said as men and women who were once students of Madiba they found it fitting to do something to the school which made them what they were.
Ms Ramhakana said they wanted to motivate and inspire their younger sisters and brothers so that they could also become responsible and disciplined individuals. For her part, the school head Ms Maria Mbale said her school was number 15 with 23.1 per cent during the previous BGCSE and with more than 850 candidates sitting for this year's examinations their intention was to get 50 per cent credit pass.
