Ministry to assess Mosolotshane situation
17 Apr 2013
The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Nonofo Molefhi, says his ministry is not aware that vehicles pass through Mosolotshane at high speed thus posing danger to residents.
Answering a question in Parliament, Mr Molefhi said his ministry would assess the situation with a view to come up with appropriate intervention to arrest the situation.
Such interventions, he said, could be speed humps or rumble strips, which would be deemed appropriate for the problem on the ground. Mr Molefhi further added that they would collaborate with Botswana Police Service to frequently set up speed traps.
Shoshong MP, Mr Phillip Makgalemele had asked the minister if he was aware that vehicles passed through Mosolotshane at high speed thus posing danger to residents. Mr Makgalemele also wanted to know if there were any immediate plans to construct speed humps. ENDS
