Kenya Airways is keeping up with the ever evolving technology and it has introduced in Botswana a new self booking tool dubbed Msafiri Connect. Msafiri Connect is a fully web-based booking engine, encompassed with multiple search options and well defined payment mechanism to suit Kenya Airways partners’ business operations and enhance user interface to ease the booking process. 

It is a KQ easy to use online booking tool designed for travel coordinators in small and medium enterprises and travel managers for none IATA agents.

Speaking at the unveiling of the product, Kenya Airways e-commerce executive, Mr Ibrahim Inzofu said they had piloted the Msafiri Connect in September 2014 in 11 countries and it had proved to be efficient. He said Msafiri offers simple easy to use features for business partners, thereby expanding Kenya Airways distribution network. 

Further, he said the second phase was that of introducing the self-booking tool in Botswana and would roll it out to other countries with time. The new development, Mr Inzofu said it has benefits such as free set-up charges, no transaction fees and felixibility in managing travel.

Other benefits of the Msafiri include access to Kenya Airways lowest fares, automatic refunds in the event of ticket hiccups. However, Msafiri Connect is designed with the best technology available, for it to work best, it is important that the browser version used should be internet explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
