Classified Safaris donates to wanderers

Classified Safaris has donated a new kit to second division, Ferry Wanderers Sporting club of Kasane recently.

When handing over the kit, Classified Safaris owner, Gaonyadiwe Ntshwabi explained that he was investing in football with a goal to use the sport to attract more tourists.

“If the team qualifies for the premier league, it can attract premier league teams to come to Chobe and boost local tourism,” he said.

He emphasised the need to encourage other players in the tourism sector to invest in local football development.

In addition to the kit from Classified, the team also got another kit courtesy of Old House Bed and Breakfast as well as two footballs and a pair of gloves from Haskins.

Deputy council chairperson, Matshelane Chabaesele noted that it is not common for emerging companies to sponsor football, adding that Classified Safaris had laid a foundation for the rest to follow.

When accepting the kits, public relations officer for the team thanked Classified Safaris and other sponsors and promised to deliver good results.

Chairperson of the Chobe league, Otisitswe Diraditsile emphasised that a lot was expected from the team now that they had sports gear. ENDS
