She said through innovation and creative courses, the university helped the nation into innovation track and thus supporting the government’s aim of Vision 2016.

Dr Dow commended the graduates for their efforts to make it to the finish line and encouraged them to go forth and seize opportunities out there.

She said the university is proud of the group of students who persevered through all the challenges they faced with their disabilities.

Ms Thebe explained that this special group of students were able to learn what their peers were learning through the use of specialised equipment such as braille, talking calculator, large font user and computer installed zoom text.

One of the graduates, Patience Kgetse who is living with disability applauded the ministry of education as well as the university for providing such a learning opportunity. She said as students living with special needs, it was very easy to learn through specialised equipment.

She said indeed, Limkokwing has proved that disability is not inability, adding that it has made possible the impossible by producing 12 students from the 20 with disabilities from the media studies who will add value to the media fraternity in Botswana.
