Boston FC gets kit sponsorship

14 Sep 2015

Central South Regional Football Association (CSRFA) Division One campaigners, Boston FC, got a boost after receiving a P1 500 training kit from Mahalapye based businessman, Neo Releabetswe, recently.

Handing over the kit to the club, Neo Releabetswe, who is also Boasa Bottle Store manager, said Boston FC management approached him for sponsorship and he found it fit to help the team as a way of helping grow football in Mahalapye and Botswana as a whole.

For his part, Boston FC chairperson, Merapelo Barobi, expressed gratitude over the sponsorship given his team did not have a training kit.

The sponsorship, he said, would encourage the business community in Mahalapye to help Boston FC, a team made up and led by youth.

He said Boston FC was formed in 2007, got promoted to First Division North in 2010 and relegated to Division One league in 2012. On other issues, Barobi said Boston FC was prepared for the upcoming season after they managed to sign two experienced strikers from Mahalapye Hotspurs FC.

The plan for the upcoming season, he said, was to win promotion to Debswana First Division North League.

Commenting on the sponsorship, CSRFA chairperson, Kaizer Sekaba, applauded the businessman for sponsoring Boston FC.

That, he said, was to keep the youth out of the streets and it also helped government in development of sport in the country.

He urged the business community in Mahalapye, Kalamare and Shoshong as well as surrounding villages to help the teams in the CSRFA Division One league in any way possible be it equipment, transport or in kind. Ends
