Black Rangers face mammoth task against Mogoditshane Fighters in their first ever match in the Debswana First Division South League at Fighters Ground on Saturday (September 5).
The Tsabong-based first division rookies head coach, Kabelo Manyeula, said they were not scared by the prospect of facing the former premier league side. In an interview, Manyeula said his boys were physically and mentally ready for the clash. “The players are relaxed and excited about the game.
They have been working hard during training sessions and I think they are eager to prove their worth to the whole country,” he said. He also pointed that the acquisition of sponsorship from McKag Transport and technical backing from Dlala had improved morale in the team.
“The players are happy with the training equipment they have received from Dlala and the financial and transportation backing from McKag Transport. They are willing to repay the sponsors for the trust they have placed on them,” Manyeula said.
The former BDF XI and Prison XI player said his players were aiming for maximum points against Fighters. He said they had been concentrating on both the physical and technical side of the game, adding that his squad had no injury concerns apart from minor knock to Edward Mathys.
Manyeula said they had signed striker Lebogang Khubamang on loan from Jwaneng Galaxy, midfielder Keabobaka Babutsi and Thato Ebuleng on loan from Extension Gunners, and goalkeeper Derek Keagaiwa from Tafic. He said Keagaiwa had signed a one year contract.
The coach was confident that the new players would bring depth and to the already gifted crop of players at his disposal. He said he will rely on the trio of Ebuleng, Isaiah Tika and Kakanyo Motlhabanare to destabilize Fighters defence. Ends
