Police XI have announced a two year technical sponsorship by Authentic Designs, a local manufacturing company trading as Autfit.

The sponsorship covers the provision of playing and training equipment, which includes home and away kits, warm up kits and travelling attire for both players and the technical team.

The Jungle Kings announced the two year deal, which will run until the end of the 2016/17 season, in Gaborone on Tuesday August 25. 

Mordecai Muchafa of Autfit said the sponsorship would give Autfit a chance to contribute to the development of sports in Botswana.

 “We have partnered with Police XI by providing them with quality football kits, equipment and travelling attire for both players and technical and the sponsorship will run for two years,” Muchafa said.

He outlined that the sponsorship was packaged at P250 000 per season, which include P50 000 for a pre-season tour in the region.

For the 2015/2016 pre-season, the team toured Zimbabwe to play against top flight teams FC Platinum and Shabani United.

Police XI further announced the extension of their sponsorship agreement with Dynamic Insurance Company for a period of two years. The deal is worth P1.5 million.

Dynamic Insurance Company has been the main sponsor of the Jungle Kings for the past season.

Police XI chairperson, Solomon Mantswe praised Dynamic Insurance for continuing to partner with them in order to grow their team.

“It might seem small money to some, but to us it has come as a great relief as money is something that is in very much in short supply to us,” he said.

He further said the deal has helped them grow during the past season and the support would further help his committee to worry less about monetary issues.

The team also announced the signing of five new players. They include goalkeeper, Bobby Mathe and defender Tapiwa Gadibolae from Township Rollers, and Sylvester Leririma and Onkgopotse Senatla from ECCO City Greens. Ends
