Alcohol destructive

President Lt Gen.Seretse Khama Ian Khama says constituency tournaments were meant to curb social ills such as alcohol abuse among the youth.
President Khama also took the opportunity to inform residents of Pitseng where he was addressing a kgotla meeting yesterday that he did not tolerate alcohol abuse.
He donated 30 chairs to Pitseng village kgotla and 50 blankets to the needy and the elderly.
He also donated Bibles to the residents, saying that the gesture sought to encourage the nation to lean on God. For their part, the residents requested government to improve amenities in their village.
They appealed for the 65km Naledi/Moshupa road to be tarred. Residents also expressed concern that Pitseng and nearby villages were served by only one ambulance.
They also requested government to improve water supply in the village. For his part, MP for Moshupa-Manyana who is also Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi thanked the president for visiting his area, saying that his constituents loved the President.
He thanked the residents for behaving well during the President’s visit. Ends
