Inferno ravages Tshwaragono Hotel

Tshwaragano Hotel was recently gutted down by a raging inferno in Serowe on Tuesday August 18, leaving all operations suspended. 

In an interview, the acting Station Commander in Serowe Mr Molefhe Molefhe said the incident was reported to them at 9am, and that they immediately rushed to the scene to find part of the hotel burning.

Mr Molefhe said they worked hand in hand with the fire brigade to put out the fire. He said unfortunately six rooms and all property in them were burnt to ashes.

He said they do not know  what caused the fire and that  investigations were ongoing.

Meanwhile, the hotel manager, Mr Warrick Rencken said he was still shocked at what happened. He said fortunately there were no guests in the rooms, and that there were no injuries.

Mr Rencken said all operations at the hotel were temporarily suspended and that they have not decided what to do regarding employees.

He said they were still estimating the cost of the damage while waiting for a police report. Ends
