Major Muscle and Fitness (MMF) will on Saturday August 22 host the second annual Gaborone International Classic Body Building Show at Lamila lodge.
MMF director, Edward Maloiso has promised the body building sport enthusiasts a better show compared to last year when they faced many challenges.
Maloiso stated last week in an interview that they have put immense work to make this year’s edition more interesting.
The event will include under-23 body builders and senior men body builders.
Maloiso said they have also included a special division for women dubbed the bikini division, in which the ladies will battle it out amongst themselves.
“We will have more athletes participating compared to last year and a better venue,” he said.
Approximately 30 international athletes are expected to participate at the show, including musclemen from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The highlight acts will include the showboating of defending champion Gontse Sechele. “People are going to be fascinated with the physics in detail of muscle size and conditioning as it is very unique,” Maloiso said.
He said they have lined up the best of the body builders in the region and spectators should expect pleasing performances from the competitors.
Among other events, he said, there will be aerobics, stating that the event will provide people with the opportunity to learn about alternative ways of training, eating and alternative lifestyle choices.
Maloiso said they want to build awareness regarding fitness and health, as well as give athletes the right platform to prepare for big events. ENDS
