Despite defeating the Maun -based, Sankoyo Bush Bucks to collect maximum points, Miscellaneous Football Club’s tactician Rassiah Chaba is not happy with his team’s performance.
After its 4-3 triumph over Sankonyo on Friday August 14 at Serowe Sports Complex, coach Chaba said the score reflected that his team is not in good shape.
“If we could score four goals and concede three in a single half, it means we are not in good shape,” said the visibly worried coach. He said they were struggling especially in defense including the goal keeping department, but he was quick to point out that the supporters should be patient as he is still building a formidable side.
However, the worried Chaba was impressed by Pako Osupile’s performance that rendered the bucks’ talisman, Morries Ruzibo irrelevant on the day.
Osupile closed down Ruzibo, giving him no chance to be comfortable on the ball. Coach Chaba said the performance of the defensive middle fielder (Osupile), who joined Tse Nala during his secondary school days, compelled him (coach) to change his mind of loaning him to Mogoditshane Fighters as he believes the Serowe lad is crucial to the struggling side.
Also the coach said the introduction of foreign players has brought a difference to his team, citing that Master Masitara played well as he created a lot of scoring chances.
On the other hand, the man at the helm of the Maun side, as the head coach position is vacant, assistant coach Gadimang Tiiso attributed his team’s loss to the fact that he was not with it the whole week as he was attending training in Gaborone.
He said they lost the game at the camp; he also blamed his defense for committing school boy errors that made his team to concede easy goals.
Interestingly, all the seven goals were scored in the first half of the game with Gosaitse Manuel, who is on loan from Orapa united, opening the score sheet on the firth minute of the game putting Sankonyo on the lead before Masitara connected well with a cross from a corner kick spot through a beautiful header to level matters.
Manuel managed a hat trick from the encounter while other goals for Miscellaneous were scored by Osupile Mooketsi, Gareonne and Bogosi Mfila respectively. ENDS
