Centre Chiefs look to set pace
13 Aug 2015
The beMOBILE Premiership reigning champions Mochudi Centre Chiefs will be chasing another victory when they host Motlakase Power Dynamos at the National Stadium on Sunday afternoon (August 16).
Last weekend Magosi were in a rampant mood as they thrashed the hapless BR Highlanders 5-0 in Molepolole, with the likes of reigning premiership player of the season, Lesego Galenamotlhale, and forwards Senatla Molefhe, Kekaetswe Moloi, Pontsho Moloi and Tendai Nyumasi hitting excellent form.
One player of note was Molefhe who looked a significantly improved player and showed a lot of maturity with his style of play.
The pocket-sized winger possesses good ball control and speed. During Chiefs encounter with Highlanders, he got his strikers eat out from a golden platter with his perfect crosses.
Motlakase will have to be at their best defensive to stop the attack oriented defending champions. Motlakase head into this encounter after being held to a one-all draw by the newly promoted Miscellaneous last weekend.
In another match, big spending Township Rollers will travel to Selebi Phikwe Stadium on Saturday (August 15) where they will find Nico United, coached by their former coach Wesley Mondo, lying in wait for them.
Mapalastina have in this transfer window invested heavily on top players like Mogogi ‘Gino’ Gabonamong, goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe, wingers Joel Mogorosi and Galabgwe Moyana, defender Modiredi Matengu, and English striker Carl Finnigan.
The ‘Blues’ opened their campaign with a 4-1 drubbing of BDF XI, while Nico succumbed to a shock 3-2 defeat at the hands of the newly promoted Green Lovers.
In other fixtures, Miscellaneous will play home against Sankoyo Bush Bucks at Serowe Sports Complex on Friday night. On Saturday, BDF IX will welcome Orapa United at the SSKB Stadium, while Gaborone United will face FC Satmos at Molepolole Sports Complex.
The newly promoted Jwaneng Galaxy FC and Green Lovers will battle it out at the Galaxy Stadium while BR Highlanders will lock horns with Police XI.
The last match will see Gilport Lions and Extension Gunners face each other at the Lobatse Sports Complex. ENDS
