Lovers not so green after all

beMOBILE Premiership rookies, Green Lovers marked a grand entrance into top flight football by thumping seasoned campaigners, NICO United 3-2 at Serowe Sports Complex on Saturday August 8.
In their maiden appearance, Green Lovers Tumo Keiketlile made history as the first player to hit the back of the net for the rookie side in the elite league.
Moathodi Ralesotla also made it into Green Lovers history books for his brace that saw them overtake NICO.
NICO United’s talisman, Onkabetse Makgantai equalised for the visitors after Green Lovers defence gifted him an easy chance.
He rounded the defence before firing into an open net.
Christopher Musonda followed suit to put Majombolo ahead after weaving some breathtaking passes that left Green Lovers defence chasing shadows.
However, their lead was short-lived as Ralesotla headed home the equaliser before scoring the winner following a fumble by NICO goalkeeper, Kagiso Rankabekwa. ENDS
