10 Aug 2015
The Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Moiseraele Goya, says the Back to School Programme has enrolled 55 468 students to date.
Mr Goya told Parliament that was a cumulative total since its inception in 2012, adding that it should be noted that the learners, who were yet to write their final examinations this year, graduate only after completion.
He noted that the initiative was designed to run for three years that was 2012 to 2014 inclusive. The MP for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister to update the house on the progress made on the back to school programme. ENDS
