Government considers Bakgatla task force

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Slumber Tsogwane, has told Parliament that President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama appointed a task force on Bakgatla chiefainship led by Kgosi Malope II on September 2014.
Mr Tsogwane said the task team interacted with Kgafela II, Bakgatla and other interested groups to get their views on how the impasse between the government and Bakgatla could be resolved.
He said the report of the task team had been considered by the government, as indicated in his previous response to Bakgatla on that matter.
Mochudi East MP, Mr Isaac Davids had asked the minister to state when the dispute about the Bakgatla kgosikgolo would be resolved amicably. Ends
