Over 100 nurses have accomodation in Selebi Phikwe

Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Alfred Madigele, says the Selebi Phikwe District Health Management team has 144 and 118 nurses at the government hospital and clinics respectively.
Dr Madigele stated that 66 nurses were accommodated by the government, 53 in institutional houses and 13 in pool houses while 28 owned houses. He added that 23 were housed by their spouses which translates into a total of 114 nurses who had accommodation.
He noted that 145 nurses were not accommodated by the government and were on the waiting list for institutional houses, adding that none of them shared accommodation.
Selebi-Phikwe West MP, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse had asked the minister to state the number of nurses at Selebi Phikwe hospital and clinics respectively who were accommodated by the government, not accommodated and those who were married but shared accommodation. Ends
