BDF barracks experience accomodation challenges

Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says in all Botswana Defence Force (BDF) barracks and camps, including Glen Valley Camp, accommodation continues to be a challenge.
Answering a question on behalf of the Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Mr Makgalemele said several efforts were being put in place to alleviate the situation, adding that the ministry has plans to construct 180 men barrack blocks for non commissioned officers and 24 men blocks of officer’s flats at Glen Valley in the year 2015/2016.
He said the project was at tender stage. The MP for Gaborone North, Mr Haskins Nkaigwa had asked the minister to state plans in place to address shortage of accommodation at Glen Valley Barracks. Ends
