Mowana Mine in Dukwi employs a total of 334 people including 37 from the outside contractors working at the mine.

Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Kitso Mokaila told Parliament that out of the 297 full time Mowana Mine employees, 282 were citizen with only 15 expatriates holding the positions of business improvement manager, geologist, project superintendent, mechanical foreman, artisan rigger, manager finance and administration, instrument technician, mine accountant, process superintendent-technical, procurement manager, financial accountant and manager underground mining.

Nata-Gweta MP, Mr Polson Majaga had asked the minister to state the number of people employed at the Mowana Mine.

Also, he wanted the minister to state the number of Batswana employed at the mine, and the expatriates as well as their positions. Ends
