The Ministry of Education and Skills Development will host 15 delegates from eight universities from the United States of America as of April 12-22.

According to a press release from the ministry, the visit stemmed from active bilateral relations between the governments of the United States  and Botswana.

The Universities due to visit are Toledo, Bradley, Western Illinois, Phoenix School of Law,  West Indies-Jamaica, West Indies-Trinidad and Tobago, Wilberforce and Alabama State.

The visit would accord the USA universities an opportunity to be exposed to Botswana environment and explore areas of possible collaboration with key institutions, local public and private tertiary institutions such as University Botswana, BIUST, BAC and to visits to selected sites.

The release said some institutions that were part were part of the 2012 USA mission would be in Botswana for follow-up meetings. ENDS
