Tsholofelo houses habitable- Kgathi

16 Jul 2015

The Minister of Defence, Justice and Security says police houses at Tsholofelo Camp are habitable and there are police officers residing there.

Answering a question in Parliament, Mr Shaw Kgathi said the houses do need to be refurbished and were included in the procurement plan for the 2014/2015 financial year.

He said they could not be maintained due to limited finances.

He further said the refurbishment of the camp had again been included in the 2015/2016 financial year and the implementation of the plan shall depend on the availability of funds.

Mr Kgathi further said BPS does not have a camp at Marang but assumed that the houses in question were at a camp in Tsholofelo which is within the vicinity of Marang junior secondary school.

Gaborone North MP, Mr Haskins Nkaigwa had asked the minister what was being done to make Botswana Police Services houses at Marang in the Gaborone North constituency habitable. ENDS
