Bokamoso are COPA Coca Cola champs

Bokamoso Junior Secondary School staged an unbelievable comeback to beat Maoka JSS 5-4 in the COPA Coca Cola BISA 2015 under-15 boys’ football final on Tuesday, July 14.
The game played at Lekidi Football Ground started at a high tempo with both teams searching for the opening goal.
Bokamoso opened the scoring in the 12th-minute through Olaetse Ramokapane who headed in after the Maoka goalkeeper committed a mistake.
Maoka captain Moabi Motlhaetsi levelled the score eight minutes later after breaking through the Bokamoso defence.
The goal motivated the Maoka team and they started pilling pressure on Bokamoso, with Motlhaetsi netting again in the 23rd-minute to give his team a 2 – 1 lead.
Moabi, who was a marshalling the midfield brilliantly, distributed killer passes and combined well with Pako Moilwa. The duo tormented the Bokamoso defence. Moabi banged in another goal to extend his team’s lead to 3- 1 in the 33rd-minute.
Maoka continued to be aggressive when launching attacks and three minutes later Katlo Gontse netted their fourth goal after receiving a pass while unmarked inside the penalty area.
The game went to recess with Maoka leading by four goals to one and it seemed that they would lift the trophy as they displayed brilliant football.
But Bokamoso resurrected and scored in early minutes of the second half through Michael Mandevani to reduce the deficit.
Bokamoso started to pile more pressure as Maoka opted to be defensive and that gave Bokamoso a chance to unlock their defence. Kabelo Thomba scored Bokamoso’s the third goal in the 60th-minute to make the score 4 -3.
They then levelled the scores in the 67th-minute through Shima Malgas. The equaliser brought confidence in Bokamoso players and Michael Mandevani buried the winner in the 73rd-minute.
Elsewhere, Radisele JSS won the girls under-15 competition, while Ramokgonami JSS won the boys under-17 competition. Sesholo JSS successfully defended the girls’ under-17 tournament.
Shanganani JSS won the netball tournament, while Tsodilo JSS won the softball competition in both the boys and girls categories.
Boipelego JSS also won the basketball event in both the boys and girls categories.
The volleyball competition was won by Liswaani JSS in the boys’ category and Chobe JSS in the girls’ category.
Livingstone Kolobeng won the rugby competition in the boys’ category with Mowana winning the girls category.
The northern zone emerged the overall champions with a total of 84 medals, 27 gold, 26 silver and 31 bronze. ENDS
