Kabakae Primary School received a donation of a 150 pairs of socks from Botsalano Social Club on July 3.

Head coach of Botsalano Social club, Mr Seremane Sikwane said Kabakae school was their starting point as they wished to donate to all the primary schools in the Ghanzi township because their aim was to help the Gantsi community.

The club previously donated to Ghanzi Primary Hospital children’s ward and the prisons department. The socks were given to the needy children to help them overcome the cold weather.

Mr Sikwane noted that their work was in line with the National Vision 2016 of a compassionate, just and caring nation.

 Kabakae school head, Mr David Sinto expressed his gratitude, stating that this will serve as motivation for the children because it shows that the community cares about their well-being.

He also noted that the help from Botsalano will enhance the support of the district council.

He explained that they will use the Social and Community Service list from the council to identify the disadvantaged children and give them the socks. Ends
