Health ministry trains five

Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Alfred Madigele has told parliament that he is aware of specialist courses of the nursing cadre offered at the University of Botswana.
Dr Madigele stated that between 2009 and 2015, five nursing officers were sent for training and of the five officers, the one that graduated in 2010 was fully sponsored while the other four were given paid study leave.
MP for Francistown East, Mr Buti Billy had asked the assistant minister if he is aware that the University of Botswana offers specialist courses of the nursing cadre such as psychiatric nursing, adult health nursing, family nurse welfare; and if so how many nurses were sponsored for training from 2009 to 2015.
