AFM donates to Mpule Kwelagobe
07 Jul 2015
Alpha Fire Ministries (AFM) in Jwaneng donated 50 blankets to Mpule Kwelagobe Children’s Centre through their Good Samaritan programme over the weekend.
Additionally, the church donated toiletries and clothing to 50 children at the centre, all amounting to P14 900.
According to one of the AFM members Mr Keith Kekgonegile, the Good Samaritan programme was started by Apostle Patrick Sejeso, with the intention of reaching out to the less privileged members of the society.
He said as a church, they had a mandate to give back to the community within which they operated and as such they chose to donate to Mpule Kwelagobe Children’s Centre as it was taking care of many unprivileged children.
Moreover, he indicated that they were planning to continue to donate groceries to different families in villages surrounding Jwaneng.
Receiving the donation, the centre’s coordinator Ms Kebabone Fane lauded the church for their good gesture, saying other people should emulate it. Ends
