Khama attends SADC Double Troika Summit

President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama will leave for South Africa today (July 3) to attend an Extraordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Double Troika.
A news release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stated that the SADC Double Troika Summit would discuss reports from the SADC facilitator to Lesotho, who is also Vice President of South Africa, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, and the SADC Ministerial Organ Troika Fact-Finding Mission, which was sent to Lesotho to assess recent political and security developments in that country.
The SADC Double Troika is made up of Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi and Lesotho.
President Khama will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi and other senior government officials.
The President and his delegation will return to Gaborone on July 4 (Saturday). Ends
