Waygard Security to receive international award

Botswana’s oldest security company, Waygard Security, is due to receive an tnternational award for excellence and leadership from Global Trade Leaders at a ceremony scheduled for July 6 in Spain.
The company’s chief executive officer, Mr Phenyo Gothaang, would receive the award and present its products and services during the awards ceremony.
The release stated that the award would give Waygard a competitive advantage and position them as a preferred security partner for most businesses in the country.
It further stated that the Global Trade Leaders club was created with the aim of establishing a union between companies who held international prizes for their quality, prestige and business leadership in their respective sectors of activity and geographical locations.
Membership to the Global Trade Leaders’ club meant belonging to an international organisation of leading businesses from 95 countries, which promoted business relations between its members and generates important investments and business opportunities, says Mr Gothaang.
Waygard Security was established in 1975 by Mr Peterson Bothongo and is 100 per cent citizen owned. Its training centre was recently accredited by Botswana Qualification authority.
It offers modules which ranges from Basic Security, Security Management Principles, Security Leadership Development Programme, Introduction to Corporate Governance, Introduction to Risk Management and Forensic Investigative Accounting.
Mr Gothaang states that staff training and development forms integral part of the company strategy hence all staff undergo training. ENDS
