PPADB to publish procurement plans
02 Jun 2015
The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) says procurement plans for government institutions would be published on websites of such institutions, PPADB website and the government portal.
A press release from PPABD stated that publications of the procurement plans was done to promote transparency and to allow bidders to prepare themselves for tenders.
However, it stated that government shall not be held liable for any changes in the procurement plans that might result from changes in the financial situation or priorities of the government during the course of the financial year.
Thus, it said contractors should always verify that they had the latest versions of the procurement plans at all times as procuring entities would update plans when necessary.
It further stated that notice of tenders shall follow the current system of releasing Invitation To Tender (ITTs) depending on the method of procurement that would be fitting at the time.
Cost estimates are provided for information only and bidders are still expected to compete on quality and cost. ENDS
