Fighters make it to promotional play offs

Mogoditshane Fighters humiliated Santos 2-1 yesterday (May 20) to secure a place in the promotional play offs.
Mogoditshane Fighters will now play Green lovers in a two legged encounter in a bid to secure a promotion to the be mobile Premier League.
The game started in a low pace with both teams not showing hunger to take the lead. Santos missed a clear cut chance that could have given them the lead to break the dead lock early in the first half. They continued to pressurise Mogoditshane Fighters accumulating more corner kicks but failed to convert them.
Some minutes later, after Santos had wasted an opportunity, Fighters managed to punish them after their goal keeper Tshepo Kgotlamotho committed a silly mistake, bringing down Daniel Mogapi in the 18 area and the referee awarded fighters a penalty and Malebogo Ntebogang converted it to take the lead.
Santos enjoyed ball possession through out the first half but they were not forceful upfront and Fighters remained defensive intercepting most dangerous passes. The game went to recess with Santos a goal down.
The second half started with a high tempo both teams visiting one another’s poles and showing hunger for goals but they both wasted their chances.
Santos introduced the fresh legs of Kabelano Mooketsane and pulled out Lebogang Jabari and the complexion of the game changed totally as they showed aggressiveness knocking the ball around their speed increase upfront. They also pulled off their off striker Refentse Mmelesi who looked quiet through the first half of the game.
Fighters managed to increase the score line to 2 -0 in the 80th minute the second goal after a brilliant strike of Malebogo Ntebogang from a well taken free kick that hit the cross bar and found the back of the net.
In the last quarter of the game Santos got a goal from a penalty after Onneile Ditshito fouled Bosa Mokgweetsi in the 18th area and Alfred Manyozo converted it to make it 2 -1.
The game continued to show some sparks from both teams in the dying minutes but at last Mogoditshane fighters emerged victorious. ENDS
