Gakhibane kgotla to get computers

Gakhibane kgotla will be supplied with computers, President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama has said.

President Khama made the promise at Gakhibane in Kgalagadi District, where he donated blankets, bibles and solar powered lanterns to the residents. The village football team also received a kit, balls and money.

He also told residents that their concerns would be addressed and that their borehole would be equipped. He also promised them some chairs for their kgotla.

When welcoming the President, Kgosi Giel Jacobs III of Gakhibane said their primary school had no electricity. Kgosi Jacobs said they were allocated a borehole wo years ago to water their livestock but it had not yet been equipped.

Furthermore, he also asked for a donation of chairs for his kgotla. Kgosi Jacobs thanked President Khama for putting their district on the map through the Khawa Dune challenge, adding that the challenge wass the brain child of the President.

He said he was also grateful for the Middlepits cluster water project, which had addressed the water shortage problem. ENDS
