Botswana’s national Under 23 team is through to the next stage of the African Championship qualifiers.
They will now play Zambia in the next stage. The Young Zebras lost 4-1 away to Kenya at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, which means that the tie ended 4-4 on aggregate.
However, Botswana proceeded to the next stage through an away goal rule. Gor Mahia star Michael Olunga got a hat trick for the Kenyans with John Njoroge getting the other goal.
Omaatla Kebatho’s crucial away goal ensured that Botswana go through, since the Kenyans failed to score away when they lost 3-0 to Pio Paul's men in Lobatse on April 24. ends
