He has all along been a backing vocalist for other established local artists, now he has decided to go professional and record as a solo artist, that’s Peach Kereemang.

One would have known Peach from popular music talent shows such as My Star and My African Dream where he was always the audience’s favourite.

However, Tuesday marked the launch of Peach as a solo artist at a show dubbed I am Peach where he performed to a live band.

The show, held at Botswana Craft, attracted a sizeable number of people who undoubtedly highly appreciated Peach’s first product as a solo artist.

In an interview, Peach said he went professional because he felt he has now grown music wise looking at the experience he got when working with fellow artists in the likes of Joel Keitumele, Samantha Mogwe and Nnunu Ramogotsi amongst others.

He said his mother was also an inspiration to him as she is an amazing singer, though she never took the professional path.

The new soul jazz singer is currently busy in the studio recording his 12 track debut album. Recording started December last year and he anticipated the album to be out by August this year.ENDS
