Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Prince Maele, is expected to officiate at the Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) housing conference billed for Gaborone from April 29 to 30.

A press release from BHC stated that the conference would be held under the theme: Promoting Sustainable and Affordable Housing in Botswana.

The release also stated that the conference would mainly bring together critical stakeholders in the property industry and related services and discuss issues pertaining to sustainable and affordable housing in Botswana.

The conference would also provide a platform for panel discussions on issues of sustainable affordable housing to explore lessons and challenges from various industry experts. The release further sais the conference would interrogate issues around affordability by looking at various alternative methods of construction available and their feasibility.

The conference would also provide more insight on best practices from other regional organisations with a similar mandate to that of the BHC. It would be divided into five sessions in which various speakers and panellists would present on various issues. Ends
