Seventh Adventist Church (SDA) has donated 50 sheets, 50 pillowcases, 10 curtains and P40 000 to Gumare Primary Hospital.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony recently, one of the pastors, Dr Kenaope Kenaope, said the church continued to put people’s needs first.
Dr Kenaope pointed out that they were in Gumare for two weeks to preach the gospel and they saw it fit to donate to the hospital because they had noticed that it was in need. He said with the P40 000 donation, the hospital had requested that they buy whatever the hospital needed.
The elderly also got packages from the church and Dr Kenaope said they would also donate a shelter to be built for the elderly and also buy P5 000 worth of food for the elderly.
Kgosi Diteko Salepito of Gumare said the church had done a great job and God will continue blessing them as they continue to assist the needy.
The hospital’s Matron, Ms Dintelo Moetse said the church has shown love, faith with works and they have brought hope to Gumare. The church’s resident Pastor Keikantseone Tirafalo said that God wants everyone to live a healthy life.
He said donating to the hospital will help in improving delivery of services to the clients to gain a healthy life. Furthermore, he said preaching the gospel to the people will help improve their walk with God.
