Kweneng District Council has signed with Deloitte and Touché Company for a Business Continuity Management
project to manage
and identify potential threats to the council.
Speaking during the Business Continuity Management (BCM) project closure, deputy council secretary, Ms Baipelelang Photlokwe said the project idea was conceived in 2012 while the procurement process started in 2013.
She said BCM was chosen to manage
risk, build resilience and protect sustainability as well as attain continuous service delivery. Ms Photlokwe also explained that Deloitte had helped the Kweneng Council to achieve its objectives through building capacity, whistle blowing and undertaking forensic unity.
The company senior manager
, Ms Rita Lombard said that they analysed impacts and threats in organisations hence designing organisational resilience. However, she noted that BCM was global based and has offices in other countries including South Africa.
Council secretary, Mr Wazha Tema said he was hopeful that the project would bring profits and make Bakwena happy. He was also hopeful that the deal would be implemented as agreed. Ends
