Kutlwano will start defence of their men’s volleyball league title with a tough match against BDF VI at Molepolole Institute of Health Sciences as the 2015 Mascom Volleyball League gets underway on Saturday (April 11).

The Big House dethroned BDF VI to win the league last year and their season opener is expected to be a titanic clash as the army team will be looking for revenge.

Kutlwano should know that victory would be essential from this match as a positive start usually served as spring board for  a successful season.

BDF on one hand would have been angered by their third place finish last year after dominating the league in the past few seasons. They would therefore be aiming to set a serious assault on the title fight this year.

The match between Kutlwano and BDF VI will be played at 4pm. In the first men’s league match, last season’s runners-up Police VI are expected to have an easy match against Mag Stimela at 10am. Mag Stimela finished the 2014 season on ninth position.

The women’s league matches will open with a clash between Spiking Stars and Mag Stimela at 12pm. After that Kalavango will take on last year’s runners-up Mafolofolo in what is expected to be a tough match at 2pm.

Last season’s women’s champions, Kutlwano, will only start their title defence next weekend when they clash with BDF VI.  ENDS
